About the Instructor
Hello! Most dancers know me by my stage name, Petite Nadirah, which I chose when I was a wee little bellydancer performing at the Renaissance Faire! I began bellydancing at the age of 13 and have been teaching classes since 2006. I am the Artistic Director of RaQs Fusion Bellydance (student performance group), a certified RaQ the Barre instructor (an amazing pilates/barre based bellydance conditioning class!), and am also a Licensed Massage Therapist.
I have had somewhat of an obsession with "all things Egypt" for as long as I can remember! I love the music, the dance, the food, the history... and I especially love to share my appreciation of other cultures with others.
With 10+ years experience as a Massage Therapist along with a commitment to continuing my own dance, fitness, and cultural education; I strive to share my appreciation of this beautiful artform, teaching in a way that both challenges you and feels good to your body so that you can fully embrace your new skills and dance confidently!
